I've pretty much already said how pathetic and how bad this will be, people have said don't jump to conclusions but seriously you can see how it is the same style as pokemon and all that other stuff we get. One of the most important things they need to get right IMO is the voices and how characters interact, that's always what makes it for me. I've decided to read the Halo books, that way the story cannot be tarnished and everything is up to my imagination.
Agreed, Bod. Ross, you're acting like you have an uh... "anime vendetta". You're just repeating the same things over and over again (as Bod is saying) to bash anime. Hell, the fact that you're now linking The Anime Reality excessively (all 4 links in your signature, the articles thread, directly to me) is just a sign that you're trying to do all you can.
Ross...
Limited... I don't even feel like legitimately responding to that. All I can say is that your post was quite dense.
lol bodie you're pretending you're not mad but you full are
we discussed this on steam. either you're trying to dredge yourself out by saying you were deliberately making the connection to irritate me, or you used the forums to further your own troll. not really what one would expect from a moderator.
~owned~
e/ heh ultama you're mad too?
---seriousness starts here---
I personally don't like anime for a number of reasons. One of the big ones is that the usual haunts for anime plotlines does nothing at all for me, in the same way superhero comics never really appealed to me. But you know what? There's one that really tops that. Want to know what it is? It's because all I have to do is say that I, as a person, do not like anime in general, and this is my personal opinion. Despite this being my own opinion formulated from my own experiences of anime (both anime itself and its following), anime fans treat it as though I am saying it's absolute, unrefutable fact that every anime is horrible, every anime fan is a fucktard, and they should all be taken out and shot or something. If I react the same way every time someone expresses a dislike of something I'm interested in, I get even more shit thrown at me. Explain to me how that makes any sense at all. Go on, please do. Explain why my own personal opinions are inherently 'wrong' when it comes to anime alone. Explain how that works.
Please. I'd love to hear why my opinions of what is or isn't an affront to the Halo universe is suddenly illegitimate because anime is involved. I'm going to enjoy watching you all prove my own point.
(By the way, the reason I'm linking to The Anime Reality so much is mainly to stir you all further, because it seems you're incapable of realising that I'm just taking the piss, probably because it involves your precious anime. The other big reason is that it's fucking hilarious just how sad some people are. You honestly believe I don't treat anyone who's literally obsessed with something else in the same way?)

i've just caught a rather strong taste of couldnt be fucked.
i'm about ot keil over and go to sleep at 10 past 7 because i'm so incredibly bored, lethargic and tired that i'm thinking stupid shit and starting to get lost in my own head again.
and i already know exactly where that goes.
I'll make a new thread for all you kids to get mad in
That said, and this is ignoring the anime aspect, I honestly don't like what I'm seeing. If they made an anime which stayed true to canon as laid down by Bungie, I'd probably watch it. I might even enjoy it. I don't like where the story is being taken and for all I care it could be a western cartoon, CGI, live-action, whatever... it wouldn't change that.
I said it in the hentai thread and I said it to you on aim, I'll say it again.
People care too much. I would understand the rage if it was, say, Japan invading us and forcing a cultural coup on us, however, this is a product offered to us that we can choose to like or dislike, watch or not watch.
Personally, I don't look specifically for anime. If someone shows me some or I happen across some, I'll look. If I find the story interesting enough or the events funny enough, I'll watch it (e.g. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya). If it falls into relying on the typical cliches too much, or simply enough just drags on and on, I'll stop watching it (e.g. Bleach). If it's overpopular, and I mean super-mainstream holy crap, I don't even bother (e.g. Pokemon, Naruto, Dragonball, Dragonball Z)
Stow the rage and arguments for the zealous fanboy types who want to cram it down your throat. In this thread, all I see is you raging, and people explaining why they like it, and then you raging harder. Stop taking it out on the innocents who're just trying to enjoy it quietly.
