How about a night hog. It could be really simple or really advanced. It could just be a cool looking hog with a bunch of lights on the front, or you could get some really advanced looking thing where the front windshield was inferred and you everything you saw though it was illuminated. Not sure how that last one would work out though since you're in 3rd person in the hog.
Cant you make it so that you DRIVE in 1st person?
I know that if you're using Skys the Limit, and you get in a vehicle and push the 1st person view button, then you'll be driving in 1st person!
Now it looks completely wierd in a regular warthog... or any other vehicle for that matter... but you can make a warthog, that, when you do the trick mentioned above, will put you in 1st person in the driver's seat. I think that warthog is in the map "Mini Stunt".

Lightbulb. Aerodynamic sporty designed warthog made for racing. Not just one of those ones where someone goes and put's a new skin on a hog. Make it a sporty looking hog that would be in 1st person. Would make for an awesome race.
might be interesting to see a hog thats been taken by the flood. With flood spores and shit crawling on it. But that would be more of an addition and retexturing of an existing hog. The medihog sounds like the best idea to me

Ive already done this with a warthog by moving the camera to the right position. Its not good. Too much bouncing around and trying to see is almost impossible. Also you need to change the windshield material to be able to see
