It is definitely worth your money. Just finished seeing it 15 minutes ago. Best movie for visual effects I seen in a long time. Alittle bit weird in some parts of the movie but was overall good.

Think of this movie a Pocahontes in space.

    crit:
This movie was not all that great.
    It wasn't terrible though.
The story line was very predictable and the only thing that made me want to finish was all the explosions and mechs.
The diolog was not great, infact it was rather mediocre.
The visuals where amazing!! The CGI was also outstanding!
You need to see it in 3D to get the most out of the visuals.

A good movie to see. But there are better movies playing.

    rating: 3.5/5

OMFG! You guys HAVE to see it in 3D. It was so fucking amazing. At times I completely forgot that they were computer generated images, they looked so damned real. You can see every detail and textures and sweat and OMG. Just go see it now and make sure it's in 3D.

I liked the story, which was an archetypal Pocahontas/Dances with Wolves plot, but I do admit there were some lolcheesy lines. I didn't mind them though- it's a James Cameron movie, and there were quite a few amusingly cheesy lines in the Terminator movies and Aliens.

Also, "pretty good"? Did you see it in 3D? 2D I can understand that quote.

Haha. Overall I'd say it's an ok movie with brilliant effects. Will it stand the test of time and be watched in the future? I'm not sure. Will it be a historic movie in special effects history? Definitely.
