Also jay why are you using josh's photobucket?
I dont mean to sound like an ass... but:

To start off with, those arent extrudes/insets/ and more extrudes. This was going to be the high poly for the low poly. If you have a problem with the design, take it up with bungie.
I don't mind if you want to crit, just do it right.

Also, im not jay, I posted it on the other page. Jay just showed me how to get shot tags to work. Hth. =)

Also, that looks pretty nice. A lot of angles/faces look weird (especially at the front/top of the main body) but I like it overall. I'd say it's worth cleaning up and finishing...
Do you mean the plate armor?

Sfloyds DMR. 3,869 K. He wanted crit on halomaps (but thats bad) so I posted it here. I will start uvwing it nobody will say anything thats wrong in a major way.

Bo, don't say the rails are crap, you can't even see the details and how its modeled. All you can judge is just by what is it now.

E: on the new one he said he fixed smoothing groups, removed stray verts, and made a slightly bigger scope

EE: to make sure and to double check, it's SFLOYD's DMR model. If you skipped my first sentence of course.

You have a ton of inaccuracies in your model.

There really isn't as much crit to be found from one small render without showing wires. You should get several renders showing each side of the model and the intricate details mode closely. You'd think floyd would know that by now

Read my double edit and the FIRST sentence of the post.

He is doing something to the new model. idk I will get the new model in a like 5 minutes.

Agh sorry for not explaining alot more in detail, I had a nose bleed (aint bullshitting). Floyd modeled the DMR, that is an old render, I got the new model and I am rendering it NORMALY, not clay render.

Still no reason why we don't see any wireframes.
"Sfloyds DMR. 3,869 K. He wanted crit on halomaps (but thats bad) so I posted it here. If you skipped my first sentence of course." just references it. I never said anything about who it belongs to. I asked for wireframes.

Would it matter on the grip part since your holding the gun in both 1p and 3p view and wont need to see it UNLESS imbrokeyou decideds to animate it where it shows the entire grip then yeah.
    E: [15:21] Dr. Spartan094☭: he said
[15:21] Dr. Spartan094☭: the magazine isnt modeled smoothly
[15:21] Dr. Spartan094☭: to the body of the gun
    [15:21] SFloyd v3: ...
    [15:22] SFloyd v3: it fits
    [15:22] SFloyd v3: its fine.
[15:22] SFloyd v3: unless in the animation
[15:22] SFloyd v3: you stare at it the whole time
