I'm not sure how many of you remember this factoid, but I got a feeling the shutdown of the Xbox 1 XBL services date has to do with Halo: Reach. More importantly, the Halo Reach Beta.

April 15th. Anyone remember that auction or whatever that was going on where a person could get a tour of Bungie and play the beta before anyone else at the end of April?

This all lines up perfectly with the initial beta push (friends and family) then the full public release of the beta in May.

What? No, that auction I won was back in 2007. Someone else won the other one.

And no, I didn't mean to post it in the Halo Reach thread as it isn't entirely Reach oriented. If we had a "General Halo" forum I would have just posted in there. But since Halo 3 is in the middle of Halo 2 and Halo Reach I thought the Halo 3 forums was the perfect place to post a thread in since it can go either way

Anyway...I wonder what kind of friends list limits we'll now be able to have with ye ol XBL gone
