At least you're watching something guaranteed to get 50,000 fansub groups, as opposed to some shows that go years without a proper sub job let alone a US release.

Yeah, good luck with that. The only way I have found to put anime on my Zune is to download hardsubed avi's. I have about 4 different video converters on my computer, and none of them support subtitles.

Converting soft subs of modern day videos automatically is impossible, sadly. With the amount of fancy features your average fansub utilizes (Karaoke, typesetting, etc) it isn't surprising.
