On Lost Platoon, it takes about...oh 90mins to 2hrs IIRC? With a good team.
I thought Alpha Site was the fastest. All the enemies funnel into a central location and it's really easy to rack up kill multipliers. No vehicles, though.
I need to brush up on firefighting. I went in completely cold (haven't touched it in 6 months) and wasn't sure where the weapons would spawn and didn't remember much about the scoring system. Spent the whole match just driving the Warthog around, trying not to flip over.
I could have seen myself really liking this mode if not for some of the more annoying skulls (black eye, catch), not being able to start at a later set, the difficulty in getting people together to play, and the fact that there's no end. They could also use some objectives and counter-objectives to mix things up.
Last night we were playing and were still on Set 1, forget which round, but tilt was on and the dropships dropped off 3 chieftains @_@. I thought there was usually only 2 or something...might have been due to the heroic setting. Took forever to take down their shields with the chain gun lol

I hear Alpha Site's a great map to get it on.
As for the chieftans, I hear it works to use a plasma pistol charge followed by everyone pistoling the shit out of it's head.
I'm probably busy for the most of the week. Today's my only day off, though I gotta be somewhere at 12. May be there for a few hours.

Nah, they're called "walking ammo reserves".
I played as the heavy weapons guy, and followed the first rule of combat engagement - know your enemy. Chieftains and War Chieftains were my specialty target, and thus the Gravity Hammer and the Fuel Rod Cannon were my primary Covenant weapons.
