    Use different shades of blue?

I had been using http://colorschemedesigner.com/, hue of 240 degrees.

I figure some teal would be good, but where the hell should I put it? Making the containers have that background color just looks ugly imo.

stop with all the gradients imo, use shades of solid blue, grey, and white.

try this color of blue: 3B77B3

And also, the title bar at the top with your name etc, make that a different color so it stands out more, considering you want people to look there first.
For the buttons, don't use blue, but rather a like gradient of grey and light grey, similar to the ones on the "post quick reply" button.

Newb: That shade made a better base color, thanks.

How's this? I dunno what do to about hyperlink colors, so I made them a bluish grey for now:

Slightly better, but that teal border is hideous.

Text looks also lost. Not the greatest designer myself.

Much empty space...I don't like scrolling with my eyes over an entire page just to see some little text on the other side. Maybe increase font size? Though this is personal preference.

Content will take up that entire lower pane, in fact it was there, I just cut it out for some stupid reason and only showed the top of the page.
