Virtual machines, ramdrive, multiboxing WoW / other shitty MMO, video editing, photoshoping huge images, calculating pi, browsing with firefox, etc
Now that we have 8GB sticks of unbuffered, non-ECC ram that desktops can use, 24GB isn't all that much heh.
